Hosting acceptable use policy

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Georgian version is legally binding and prevails in case of any difference.

Effective from: 23.10.2026

These rules are part of the service agreement and apply to every customer. On shared hosting several customers use one server, so the rules protect the stable operation of everyone's sites.

1. Prohibited content

It is prohibited to host or distribute content that:

  • breaches the legislation of Georgia;
  • infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights of others (for example unlicensed software, films, music);
  • contains child sexual exploitation material;
  • serves fraud, phishing or the imitation of another organization, bank or service;
  • contains malware, viruses or other means of unauthorized access to computers;
  • incites violence or discloses another person's personal data without their consent.

2. Prohibited actions

  • spam, that is, bulk email sent without the recipient's consent, or using purchased or harvested addresses for it;
  • attacks on other systems, scanning, password guessing or DDoS;
  • attempts at unauthorized access to the server or other customers' accounts;
  • cryptocurrency mining, running proxy or VPN services;
  • using the hosting only as file storage or for backups unrelated to the site;
  • background processes that constantly use server resources.

3. Fair use of resources

3.1. Every plan has a disk space and number of sites limit, listed on the page Hosting. In addition, the server applies technical limits on CPU, memory and concurrent processes, which protect all customers equally.

3.2. If a site regularly exceeds these limits and disturbs other customers, the Provider will inform the Customer and suggest optimization or moving to a larger plan.

4. Email

4.1. Email is meant for normal business correspondence. For bulk marketing mailings, use a service built for that purpose.

4.2. If spam is sent from an account (including because of a compromised password or site), sending email may be temporarily restricted until the problem is fixed.

5. Security

5.1. The Customer is responsible for the security of their own site, passwords and software.

5.2. If a site is hacked and endangers the server or other customers, the Provider may temporarily restrict access to it until it is cleaned.

6. Response to breaches

6.1. In case of a breach, the Provider usually first warns the Customer and gives a reasonable time to fix it.

6.2. In case of a serious breach (illegal content, phishing, malware, spam, attacks) the account may be suspended immediately. For repeated or severe breaches the agreement may be terminated without a refund.

6.3. Where required by law, the Provider cooperates with the relevant state authorities.

7. Reporting a breach

If you notice a breach on a site hosted on our servers, write to us: info@webhoster.ge. Include the link and a description of the breach.
